Using traditional and experimental techniques Elaine creates work in response to the people and places she encounters. She incorporates found and foraged materials in the clay, exploring layers of colour and texture with her clays and glazes; Elaine creates Figurative Sculptures, Goddess totems, Narrative Sgraffito ware and Sculptural Decorative vessels; creating unique pieces that celebrate the materiality of clay, localities and stories.
